Skater Chicks

You've seen them around... the skaters. Doing their stunts at the park or at the entrance/exit areas of the mall. I've wondered so many times—how come no one has provided them with a real skate park?

But thanks to Republ1c, we now have our very own skate park:

Designed by a California skate park design company, with over 450 skate parks for communities all across the world including ESPN’s X Games skate park, the XVIB Skate Park promises some super fun sessions. Made of professional grade material flown in from the US, skateboarders will love the safe and smooth ride. This skate park provides challenging obstacles such a fun box, elbow pipe, starting rail, hubba ledge, quarter pipes, and hip banks to nail their tricks. Located indoors and properly ventilated, XVIB provides comfort and shelter from the rain and heat.

Now, we know that the male population dominates this "sport," but guess what? There were quite a few hot chicks who love skateboarding, too! Check them out:

The XVIB Skate Park is open from Mondays to Fridays from 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Rates are P80.00 for two hours, P150.00 for half-day and P250.00 for whole day use. The park also welcomes BMX bikers and in-line skaters.

Quick Afternoon Shopping

Spent late afternoon at Republic (Eastwood City Walk 2). It was my first time to go there, and it's humongous! Three-story high full of street, urban, and beach gear...

So many brands, and so many products! I think one of their bestsellers are these headphones/earphones from Skull Candy... Within an hour of my visit, I think 3 people have already bought a Skull Candy, and quite a few checked it out—and this was on a Thursday afternoon.

Hubby and I wanted to buy a his-and-hers shirts, but the shirt for me looked small so I tried it on in their dressing room. Don't you just love the room? :D Had to take a photo hihi... Unfortunately, it was too small for me.

So, we went up to the third floor to check out their slippers, and found these slippers for us both and for our baby J. But we realized, it'll take about three years before he'd fit into those slippers, so we passed on this set...

Ended up buying these instead: a NewBreed shirt for me, and Cobain slippers for my two boys.

Speaking of shoes; good news to ladies who have "cute" feet. Charles & Keith now has size 34 for selected designs.
