Pitoy Moreno includes in his portfolio over 43 shows with celebrity models and well-known personalities—most of whom came to celebrate and participate in his most recent show held at the Isla Ballroom of the EDSA Shangri-la hotel.

Featuring over 100 pieces of Moreno’s formal Filipiniana, the show highlighted Moreno’s exquisite detailing: hand-painted florals and butterflies, hand-sewn lace, embroidered details, or ethnic-printed weaves.

An all black ensemble gets a refreshing pop of color with a red lace overlay.

A colored embroidered long cape makes for a dramatic entrance.

A play on fabrics gives this monotone set a modernized look.

A colorful sarong adds vibrant energy to this neutral dress.

We should revive hand-painted artworks like these.

A commemorative exhibit also featured couture dresses, wedding gowns and ternos that Moreno created for women such as former First Lady Imelda Romualdez-Marcos, Imelda Cojuangco, Fortune Ledesma, Dee Zobel, and actress Susan Roces.

The Most Memorable PFW show

I think it's safe to say that the last PFW was the very first time they ever hosted a children's fashion show, and it was amazing!  It was held on the Day 1, right after the opening show with Pond's.  I rushed up to the 3rd floor as soon as I can.  I was able to get a good spot in front and center, and this is what I was able to catch:

A teenager dressed in medieval costume was playing "Telephone" by Lady Gaga with a violin, which served as the "background" along with an LED screen.  Here are some of my favorite outfits:
