In the Bag

Overflowing stocks of new designs and styles are nothing new from the makers of cool flip-flops, Havaianas. But this hip Brazilian footwear brand has something new to offer for this last stretch of 2009. A batch of bright-colored funky bags was launched and presented through a fun fashion show, with thousands of viewers watching it online via live streaming courtesy of Smart Communications. How tech-savvy!

As for the new product line of Havaianas, the brand’s Anne Gonzalez shares: “We always seek to stay fresh, not only by keeping our flip-flop styles up-to-date, but also by introducing new fashion items that will complement them.” This first batch of bags come in six different styles, all of which come in a variety of colors that are the same as the brand’s palette. Each bag shares the same aesthetic look and details as that of their flip-flops. The rice pattern from the soles, the Greek pattern from the straps, and the round rubber buttons used to keep the flip-flops’ soles and straps together are strategically placed and included in these totes and sling bags—giving each bag the Havaianas’ seal of approval.

A big “mega” sling to fit all your essentials.

The “tote” comes with a drawstring lock to keep your goodies safe.

There’s one style for every member of the family.

The “mega printed” will surely be a fave among the ladies for it’s floral print.

The “zip” offers a cool option to carry your skateboard (or yoga mat).

These are great new additions to the family of Havaianas. If you're not yet a fan of the brand (gasp!), I'm sure these bags will make you one ;)
