Colorful Leather Accents

A delightful lunch with Tod’s Senior PR Associate Flora Lee (who flew all the way from Hong Kong) and an exclusive preview of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection awaited a handful of us at the executive floor of The Peninsula Manila recently. Displayed all around the suite was a refreshing lot of leather goods in a mix of light, dusty hues and vibrant shades.

For this season, Tod’s introduces the Shirt Bag, an ultra-light and soft leather bag with drawstring closure, which is a favorite among the fashionable guests that were present. A great travel buddy, this foldable bag is made from leather of finest quality that ensures that the Shirt Bag can withstand the many folds without ruining this newest member of the Tod’s leather family.

Another new addition is the clutch bag with buckle design. Made with colorful python skin, this clutch comes with a hidden shoulder strap to take you from day to night.

For footwear, their flats go for a feminine take with ballerina flats getting an upgrade with colorful suede and accentuated with silver ties. Offerings of high heels are also included in this collection, with standout details such as cut-outs, woven saddlery, crafted leather and visible hand stitching as the main elements.

Other updates include the tote bags crafted in either soft calf leather and in precious crocodile skin; and the Gommino shoe collection in metallic leathers, colorful suedes and precious crocodile.

The fashionable male set will also be glad to know that the men’s tote has been improved with pratical inner pockets and a hook that can be used to attach keys or a mobile phone among others. The bottom exterior of the bag is also waterproofed that’s made from rubberized fabric that makes it especially strong, making it perfect for the urban male trendsetters.

*In the Philipines, Tod’s shoes, bags, and accessories are exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI), and are available at the boutiques located in Greenbelt 4, Ayala Center, Makati and Rustan’s Tower, Shangri-la Plaza Mall.
