To know more about Posh Nails, below is a review I wrote about the salon that was printed in HIPP magazine, July issue:

Realizing that there weren’t enough good nail salons here, young entrepreneur Catherine Ilacad went to the U.S. to study and do research on her dream of opening a one-of-a-kind pampering venue. Obviously, her vision of establishing one became a reality, with her Tomas Morato branch gaining a lot of regular clients within a short amount of time. Marivic Escalona-de Guzman was one of those ladies, bringing her daughters with her to Posh Nails for some bonding time as well. “I fell in love with the set-up, the ambience and the service; and inquired if they do franchise,” Marivic shared. But at the time of the inquiry, Cat Ilacad wasn’t able to set up a franchising system yet. Two years after, an agreement was made and Marivic proudly claimed Posh Greenhills as her very own business venture.

Ambience: Marivic was given a free-hand with regards to the interiors of the establishment, keeping in mind the pink-and-lilac color scheme of Posh Nails. Lots of plush pillows in girly shades abound, with comfy couches and foot rests that will make anyone fall asleep while you get your treatments. A chandelier is placed in the middle of the venue, giving a luxurious and kitschy vibe. A combination of white walls and a big window panel makes for a relaxing ambience. Kelly, the manager, was very helpful as well, as she was more than happy to brief me about Posh and what the salon offerings are.

Services I’ve tried: Energizing coffee and relaxing green tea scrubs (hands-P675; feet-P675) that come with manicure/pedicure, massage and spa as well. Affordably priced, I was surprised to find out that the lotions and scrubs used are by the OPI brand---one of the leading nail/hand/foot care global brands. The overall experience was delightful, as nail technicians Ning-ning and Jackie worked their magic on my limbs. A wide variety of brands and nail lacquers are also available for you to choose from: OPI, Orly, Sally Hansen and The Face Shop.

Why I like the salon: Two private rooms are available for those who want to get a massage, or other services such as waxing and eyelash extensions. Another plus is that it has its very own restroom, so you don’t have to worry about going out in between treatments in flip-flops or with half-done nails.
Complimentary drinks are also served, such as hot tea, coffee, iced tea and juices. No need to pay for parking as well, just remember to have your parking stub validated before you leave. Food establishments such as Contis are located downstairs, so you can ask the staff to order for you and have them bring up snacks if you’re hungry.
And with more than ten nail technicians---all of which are trained to have the lightest touch when it comes to mani-ped, and the hardest of pressure for massages and spas---you are assured of getting serviced almost right away. But it’s always best to call and make an appointment, just to be sure.

What your loved ones can try: Foot spa (P300), pedicure (P215), and massages for hands (P220) and feet (P300) are staple faves for dads and boyfriends alike. Your son can avail of the refreshing foot spas, while daughters can get their digits painted in their polish of choice. Nail stamping, one of the latest trend in nail art, is also offered by the salon. Posh Nails is also known for throwing Kiddie Vanity Parties (P2900-P6500); inquire for more details. Bottomless iced tea will be served, plus a complimentary free gift for the birthday celebrant.

Other must-try services: Posh Grooming for Hands (P150) and Feet (P215); Basic Refresh for Hands (P400) and Feet (P600) that comes with spa treatments and mask that softens and whitens your hands and feet. Try their bestseller Fetish for Hands & Feet (P1350) that offers mani-ped, massage, spa and paraffin wax that promises to relieve you of tired muscles and stress. Made of real hair and imported from Singapore, their eyelash extension (P1200), which last up to three months, are also quite popular. Spa parties are also available for birthday celebrants and brides-to-be, price ranges from P2398.75-P12,255. Again, complimentary bottomless iced tea drinks will be provided, and a gift for the celebrant as well.

Other branches: CTTM Building, Tomas Morato cor. Timog Avenue, Quezon City (926-5077); Ground Floor Eurocrest Building, #126 Bel-Air Village, Jupiter St. Makati (467-6374). *Take note that the other branches are not offering discounts ;)
