I've heard great reviews on Avenue Q. Too bad I wasn't able to watch it the first time. They also had shows in Singapore, and has been well-received, too! Good news though, the show's back—from March 12 to 27.
Hubby, I hope you're reading this. Can we watch, please? :D
To those who have no idea what Avenue Q is, here's the synopsis:
Life may suck on Avenue Q but being jobless, homeless, politically incorrect, having sex (whether hetero, homo or porno - and that's just the puppets) are just some of the topics featured in the terrific songs of this show. For those weaned on Sesame Street, the Avenue Q puppets may look familiar, but with musical numbers like "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" and "If You Were Gay", this send-up of political correctness isn't for the kiddies. Returning cast members to Avenue Q include Felix Rivera, Aiza Seguerra, Frenchie Dy, Joel Trinidad, and Thea Tadiar. Original Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut Rachel Alejandro, who won an Aliw Award for her performance, returns to the dual roles. Calvin Millado joins the cast as Brian.
Avenue Q is directed by Bobby Garcia and Chari Arespacochaga. It features Production Design by Mio Infante, Lighting Design by Johnsy Reyes, Musical Direction by Jojo Malferari and Vocal Coaching by ManMan Angsico.
Come see what all the fuzz is about!
