I got these babies a few weeks ago. What a coincidence that this post and the makeup collection I'm about to share with you has the same theme as that of Mango's and M.A.C.'s :)
The boxes alone got me all giddy :D
I could hardly contain my excitement when I saw these babies. What I noticed right away was that the products were mostly cream-based, and very subdued in terms of color choice. In other words, they are quite wearable and easy to apply. Here is their campaign poster:
"Unleash your wild side with our lush, tropical safari-inspired collection for eyes, cheeks and lips.
Sultry, exotic shades and luxurious, creamy textures create a sexy summer smolder." I believe this collection will most likely be sold out for the sole reason that their colors are neutral and safe—which is the choice of most ladies. Check them out: (photos below were taken from smashbox.com)
I love the fact that it comes with a second opaque lid that's airtight—to keep the creamy texture and consistency intact. It's also waterproof and crease-proof that makes for easy application; both as all over eye shadows or liners. Tip: Apply the lighter shades all over your lids, while the darker ones are used as liners for added definition.
Highlighters are the staple must-have, in my opinion, as it brightens up your face instantly. Use the pinkish shade on the inner corners of your eyes, while the gold tint one is applied below and above the brow bones, nose bridge, on top of your cheekbones and on the cupid's bow (above your upper lip, that small concave part in the middle) if you want to have plump-looking puckers.
Creamy Cheek Color in Untamed
One great thing about creams is that it can easily be applied by just about anyone. No unsightly streaks with this Vitamin E-infused blush. You can also use this for your lips for sexy shiny nude lips.
Lip Gloss in Flesh and Raw
Nude lips are definitely in, and you can achieve them with the help of the first shade. Get even sexier lips by applying Creamy Cheek Color on your pout before swiping on any of these glossies.
An additional product that I've included in this post is their Lash DNA mascara that has a double helix brush. I tried it on this morning and it DOES lengthens, separates, and defines your lashes in just a few sweeps. Don't be overwhelmed by its big bristled brush. It does the job well, making my chinky eyes appear bigger and more doll-like with fanned out lashes. Oh, and it doesn't clump, too!
If I were to choose just one, which is a hard feat, I would pick the highlighter stick. It's a no-fuss makeup product that instantly gives me a healthy radiant glow. What would be your pick? :)
*Smashbox is available in all Beauty Bar stores: Alabang Town Center, Shangri-la Plaza Mall, Power Plant Mall, The Podium, Greenbelt 3, Festival Supermall, Eastwood City Walk, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Midtown, Gateway Mall and SM Mall of Asia.

I love the Smashbox cream eyeliner, but haven't tried any other product. How's their mascara?
Oh, what beauty candy!
Thanks, ladies!
Java jive: I included my review on their Lash DNA mascara. It does the work, but you will obviously need a good eyelash curler. It simply lengthens and defines. But if you're looking for something that curls and adds volume, this might not be the product you're looking for :)
Mariel, I never got to ask you, and I'm quite curious. As a makeup artist and a beauty writers, what's the one makeup product you can't live without? hehe :)
