My Wish List for Little J

Late last year, I had the chance to meet the distributor (for Asia) of Stokke (pronounced stow-ki). We met at this breastfeeding room in Rustan's Makati. I didn't even know they had one until that day. Lovely, isn't it? :)

Moving on... Stokke originated from Netherlands, and started out with this Tripp Trapp highchair below. It's "the chair that grows with the child." It's design is very basic and classic; it hasn't changed since 1972 and has manufactured over 6 million of these high chairs. Made of beech wood (a hard European wood), it has a 7-year-warranty and can accommodate a 6-month-old and up. Yes, even adults!

Priced at P19,500. I must admit, it is a bit expensive. But hubby and I don't mind getting little J this one, since it grows with him. As you can adjust it to your child's size.

Here's the real "dream" item for little J :o Launched last 2003, the Stokke Xplory stroller is a THE mobile baby carrier for me! Weighing 20 lbs., it can be a bit heavy. But what I like about this stroller as well is that it's adjustable (like the Tripp Trapp), and elevated so that your child/baby can maintain eye contact with you—at the same level :D

According to the brand: "the Stokke Xplory provides you with an unparalleled flexibility that enables you to elevate your child to be closer to you. Being closer allows you to keep contact and interact with your child, strengthening your child's own sense of security, safety, and assurance."

Why is it a dream? It's being sold at P89,500. Perhaps I'll win the big lotto, and get this for our next baby ;)

The Stokke Tripp Trapp does look like a good investment. Stumbled on this on the Baby Earth website months ago. The price is a bit steep though so I took note of the high chair's structure and design. Looks like a competent carpenter can build this for me. ;)

Your blog looks so refreshing. Will drop by again soon. :)
